A: The Canadian Jewish Lawyers Association (CJLA) is a national network of over 1,000 members. We provide a unified platform for legal professionals in Canada, offering advocacy, professional development, networking, and community support. Our leadership includes President Eric Frydman and Vice President Esther Mendelsohn.

Q: What is your mission?
A: CJLA empowers the Jewish legal community and its allies to combat antisemitism and all forms of discrimination. We advocate for Israel, promote access to justice, provide professional development, advance education, and foster respectful dialogue.

A: CJLA organizes CPD-accredited seminars, community education programs, and networking events. Topics have included antisemitism, Holocaust denial, and celebrating Jewish diversity in the legal profession.

Q: Who can join CJLA?
A: Membership is open to all legal professionals across Canada, as well as allies who support our mission. You do not need to be Jewish to join.

A: Visit our Membership page to complete an application form. Once approved, you’ll gain      access to networking events, CPD opportunities, and exclusive resources.

Q: Are there membership fees?
A: No. Membership is free.
